Like i said criticism is welcome ;) if by functional you mean trackable then no it probably wouldn't do very well nor is it a show car, its just my daily driver and the purpose it serves is that of putting a smile on my face when i see people giving it confused looks
Handles like crap cruising along on a straight bumpy road yes, but hard in the corners with the extra wide grip and camber it never lets go so its a mixed bag really, The 225's are stretched a wee bit but if i ran wider tyres the wheels would rub like mad so its a compromise, little bit hurt by the pimp my ride remark not sure they have quite as much attention to detail but i understand its not to everyones taste, partly the reason i love my car so much  fair play m8 :thumb: |
Cheers Ben Thanks for putting those up on your blog really appreciate it! :thumb: Forgot to say :luvlove: the HDR pic what camera are you fronting?
Should be attending Japfest event's either santa pod or castle combe, obviously not going on the track with my setup but would be good to meet some fellow scoob fans if any of you go! usually go to top fuelers at pod too was a right laugh last year. The Dry carbon is 3M vinyl which i wrapped myself, went to Birmingham NEC car show not long ago they had a Lambo with real dry carbon panels and its literally identical to the vinyl, Wet look (glossy) vinyl is not yet available at least no decent stuff exists always ends up looking cheap imo, but i'm sure 3M will crack it soon. Takes a lot of trial and error to get the right setup this low on these wheels so if anyone was planing on doing it then chat to me or bockett to avoid nasty hicups! Were always keen to see nice scoobies done properly, Not to say i don't like purist Subaru's fully race/rally spec they have a special place in my heart too but i don't have deep enough pockets or the skill to own/build something power mad lol Im all about owning something unique that gets attention of any kind as long as it keeps me happy ill keep on truckin lol break the mould :hjtwofing :D |

^ Thanks for the heads up i may just pop over there! Anyone going to japfest on 15th of may @ castle combe? i quite fancy it!
Scooby L its carbon vinyl 3M Di-noc mate as mentioned previously :) Here's a little comparison between OEM and my wheels: Stock http://i654.photobucket.com/albums/u...lWheelsOn3.jpg  Wideboys lol http://i654.photobucket.com/albums/u...5/IMG_0187.jpg :notworthy Still need's some spacers on it to get it Flush as possible i wont be happy till it is! :P |
Once the spacers are fitted it'll be spot on.
|
I still cant decide on what size, you'll have to eye it up with me when i do your wrap :) Btw are we ok with original studs up to 15mm?
|
We can try my 5mm spacers but they will probably be to small.
Personally i'd want to see how many turns a nut would get on a 15mm spacer. You may want to run extended studs for added security |
