Hi

his may interest you??

Hi guys/girls ..

Dunno if there are many of you around Wrexham area but I am up that way mapping on the 9th Jan and have a spare slot on the day so thought I would offer it out to the locals on here first http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...es/biggrin.gif

Full remap costs £350 for newage and can include launch control for all newages and flat throttle shifting for 06/07 WRX and STi (if you want these http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...lies/norty.gif )

Hello Andy, might be best giving Andrew Carr a buzz, He's open source mapping offering mobile mapping. What are you after ideally? If you can ellaborate what it is you want im sure plenty of people on here will see the thread and help you out. A grand offers quite a bit if you do it in the right way.

So what mods are currently on your car, and ulitmatly what are you looking for in terms of performance?

Rob

cheers rob, its a 2001 wrx pretty standard really. just fitted powertech induction kit. thats it really but i want to start taking it to meets next year.
i just want a bit more power, scooby world do a package with a choice of exhaust decat and a few other things including the remap for 1200 quid, think its a bit pricey really especially when people on here are doing it for 350. with the mods on my car would it be worth doing the remap? how much power gains would i get. appreciate your help mate, cheers
:wonder:

can anyone tell me more about the 3 port boost solinoid, im getting my 2001 wrx remapped next month and the guy said i'll need a 3 port boost solinoid. cheers

Hi Andy - it will allow better control over the boost - and probably get more power from your car.

This would be my thoughts assuming you have a good Air intake set up:
Full Exhaust System (Cat back), and decat turbo down & Up Pipe, Walbro fuel pump, Uprated Panel filter - 280bhp apx
£500+, plus mapping costs

also

add an Sti Intercooler to take you to 290-300bhp apx - TD04 now struggles past this bhp.
+£150ish

also

add an uprated Turbo to take you to an easy 300+ apx - Injectors now maxed start to max out
+£170plus depending on what you go for (the obvious is a TD05 or VF range)

also

add larger STI injectors to take you to 330-340bhp..... I believe gearbox will fail beyond this due to the torque at aox 350lbt
£200 ish for the STI pinks.

--------------------------------------

My opinions may be different to others, but this is pretty much what i was told to do, so i have done all the above, just needs fitting and mapping. Obviously im no expert, but each of the above requires your car mapping afterwards, so i do all of it at once and then get it mapped.

If you have fitted a Cold air intake be careful as this can lean your fuel/air mix and potential destroy the engine... ask here for advice.
