If you had mentioned Babel instead of Voronin then I would understand. He didnt seem interested to me, that from someone who moans about not being picked. I think he rested Riera having played for Spain (and scored a corker) midweek. Riera is a good left footer, intelligent, strong in the tackle and has the 'never give up' attitude - everything Babel doesn't have, especially the intelligence. Torres also played midweek and it showed in his energy levels. |
Rooney played midweek and was a beast on Sunday..... Torres is definitely a bit of a wimp. ;)

watched the game on lfc.tv tonight, johnson down the right was awesome and deserved the man of the match. great capture from rafa.
must have watched SG do that move for the third goal about 20 times now, just world class. think we have riera back now, which means if need be riera on the left, kuyt behind torres, SG in midfield and benni down the right. |
