I see a couple of you reference my Scoobypedia.co.uk site, thanks for that. A few SNet members have already published and maintain articles on Scoobypedia including 'frayz' above.
I see a lot of enthusiasm building here to identify source information/threads for articles - keep up the good detective work, unlocking information buried in the threads. Hopefully there will be plenty of volunteers to update the articles as required as that's the important aspect to retain trust of the reader. With that said, is it worth making more use of something (like Scoobypedia ;-) that is forum neutral, already exists for 'open source' usage and used by most Scooby forums world-wide? That's a massive community managing published content. This saves copying* the same articles and focuses effort on new content. I've found individual forums best for publishing the first draft article, discussing problems and improvements and pooling information sources (like you're doing here) for others to gradually write up. Usually the next person to follow a 'how-to' would like to quickly update/correct it in some minor way e.g. slight differences for various Model Years. FYI - A few technical 'articles to do' are documented here also. You find six other articles here which reference (and link back to) ScoobyNet as an 'information source'. *Note Scoobypedia site rules apply to information content and/or reuse. -Steve. |
agree :)
As scoobypedia is forum neutral. Its just that scoobynet gets so many of the same questions asked over and over again and has so many visitors and I also thought that it was a shame that some of the info was lost over time. Scoobypedia seems like the logical eventual resting place for much of it Cheers Steve |

Idealy yes ...but in the real world - Its good to have a place where threads that turn out to have usefull info on HERE can get dumped.
Scoobypedia is also useful but is a different site and not everyone knows about it For those that dont..linky Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia |
