The TD05-06 20G is an 05 rear end driving a 20G wheel with an 06 cover.
Done properly this can be a 400 plus bhp turbo.
When these turbos first became popular they were generally capable of 400 bhp, with full supporting mods, running Optmax and they were hand built. As popularity increased, because of the numbers required, imported off the shelf units were then supplied. These turbos were not as capable as the hand built units that had previously established the 05-06 20G reputation.
The JAW turbo is only one example of these.
In fairness to JAW I have also come across examples of their 18G that perform exceptionally well for not a lot of money.

Ok guys in the name of science I am very happy to try an alternative turbo back to back and Harvey has offered a free swap over. Obviously I will stay with the turbo which performs best so other than a bit of petrol expense I have nothing to loose.
So if Mark comes up with the turbo and Jase comes up with a couple of rolling road slots, as far as I am concerned it can be a goer and provide information for everyone.
Mark and Jase the ball is in your court. lets get it gripped!:norty:

Sean, (Cosworth27)

Something is clearly wrong, if you're only getting 352bhp @ 1.4bar on a turbo that Area52 have achieved 444bhp @ circa 1.6bar, even with 6% methanol.

I think the first thing you need to do, is get the car looked at again by the people who installed your turbo, and the mapper, so between them, they can work out what's causing the problem, and eliminate it.

Then, once you know it's running right on the current turbo, we can look at the best way of doing a "back to back" with the MD321H, or whatever MD321 turbo is comparable with the ST420.
