Ooohhh .. that's nice. I want one of those ... but can't really justify the £2K price tag.

The biggest thing will be Apple TV, that is going to be huge IMO. It just blows anything else away and has turned a lemon into probably one of the hottest products of the year.

Xbox 360/PS3 do similar things but nowhere near as integrated and easy to use. Combined with the fact that every major studio is behind it, the prices for rental look reasonable, you don't need a computer etc and they have a winner.

If only it could act as a video recorder as well then it would be perfect.

I have had one now for about 2 months and although it is great to sync episodes of top gear, shows, movies I have ripped into itunes tec, I always felt it was being underused. I feared that Apple would bring out a new model with these new features and mine would be defunct, a nice square paperweight, but in one fell swoop, they have made it into a gem (as long as the movie rental moves from the US to the UK as well ) and so I am one happy bunny :D

I think charging £13/$20 for the iTouch update is disgusting. I believe that the apple discussion site was closed down last night due to the number of people venting their anger there.

The AppleTV looks to have potential - I would much prefer that to going to Blockbuster - but on my current broadband it would be quicker for me to go to Blockbuster, watch the movie and return it :Whatever_

I forecast that this is a forerunner to a new line of products which will be based on a tablet/touchscreen format ....

of course I could be drinking and talking a load of bollocks :D
