leccy windows, more refinements :)

The rally can be percieved a bit like a Type RA Scoob - a little bit too hardcore for everyday use.

As the GTi6 Phases got newer (Phase 1,2,3), they got heavier (as with most marque refinements!).....

The later Rallyes whilst lighter, still weren't as light as the Phase 1 GTi6. Tha advantage being that you got the creature comforts of the GTi6, with the weight of a "later" Rallye......

The downside is that the styling isn't as up-to-date......

But the bonnet/grille is upgradable (same as the Scooby!), and most of the kit inside can be changed.....

My GTi6, I'm leaving as standard (restoration project really) - black half-leather/alcantara interior.
The only thing I;ve upgraded is the headlight bulbs and the stereo.

Will post some piccies up when the weather changes!! :D

still comes with leather seats, electric windows, etc... but doesn't come with frills like aircon, auto wipers, etc... which you don't really need on a hot hatch anyway IMO

I know ;)

should have stated that aircon was on the option list, however it wasn't a popular choice, most people went for the electric sunroof instead

I had a 98 306gti6 for 6.1/2 years b4 buying my subaru last summer, bloody awesome motor, the only thing that went wrong with it in that time apart from tyres exhausts brakes, was it broke a front spring so i had both replaced it blew away most other hot hatches & theres no way a vts would keep with it, i can remember making a few subarus struggle to keep with me in it on the b roads. 35/36mpg on a run & about 28/29 on a short run. sold it last summer and paid another 15 grand to get my 05 wrx sti, still think i done wrong somedays. :)
