Whats a clay bar? really new to the car cleaning thing, gets washed if its lucky, dont usually have much time so usually a hose, bucket, water, car cleaner, sponge, rinse, chamois, job done. then it gets mucky again.

But want to get best possible results from my graphics plus my car will be photo'd a fair bit this season, i imagine:norty:

A clay bar will take all/most of the imperfections off your paint giving you a glass like feel plus a perfect work suface for polishing etc.

Is it readily available in most motor factors, halfrauds for instance or os better to get mail order.
Its not something i've heard of before reading this thread so i don't look fot it when i'm out shopping.
cheers for advice.
Don' think i've ever polished my car in the 2 1/2 years i've owned it, by the time i've cleaned it i've had enough, but as mentioned above, i want to do a good job with the graphics.

You can pick it up in halfords but i personally would get it from Richie at polished bliss reason being is halfords with not be able to give the advice Richie can.

Check the site out here Polished Bliss - Car Care Advice - How to clean your paint in preparation for polishing or protection for starters.

Hope that helps

What polish do you have or plan on using ? when claying the car m8 make sure you use plenty of lube otherwise the clay will stick

Just got normal autoglym polish, don't think i've ever polished this car before tho.

:lol1: - wont be long before you get the cleaning bug :)

I doubt it, its gonna be covered in stickers, don't get to drive it much, so when i do, i do, can't be bothered cleaning it, unless it gets filthy, but with the weather at the moment, even if i clean the car, by the time i've driven to a show or meet, guarunteed to be mucky when i get there.

The car club i'm in is more about meeting up and having a laugh (sox-japoc0 rather than the sidc mentallity of parking your car in colour coded groups. at certain angles, and cars must be clean to be on a stand etc:lol1:
