lol, reminds me... me and a mate went round with a bucket and a sponge blagging we were in scouts and bob a jobbing , we never set foot near the scout hut !!

I used to spend most of my money on my Peugeot Racer, then trash it doing papers on it !

Worked on a garage forecourt as well, within a week of passing my test I was driving XR2's back from auction in high speed convoy with the other lads , how I didnt bin one I will never know, had to keep up or get lost, XR2's were definitely faster than XR3is point to point, Orion Ghia's were poo, best was following a Rasta drug/car/ho dealer in a 635i down Princess Parkway at 120, he was in a M635 csi with two 'Hip Hop Honeyz', returning it after it being on sale or return basis and not getting sold, got to his house and he ordered me a taxi, had a go on a spliff as I waited, I really wanted to be a black drug/car/ho dealer that day, two women, two 6 series, it didnt get much better than that.

Tell you what aint it great reading all this we *all* used to work even to earn a few quid to save up for the things we want. Nowadays the kids dont want to work (yep Im 38 but do sound like my dad, ****!) which is why half the time we dont get the friggin papers when we should!

Me, I did a six morning a week paper round delivering the dailys for a mere £2.20 (mind you that was 1982), as well as doing a free newspaper round on a thursday night and sunday morning. Then I did some golf caddying for about 3/4 quid plus lunch and drinks every sunday as well.

The money always went on CB gear, buying a new unit or aerial or something!

My 1st proper job at 16 was helping a landscape gardener, it paid a collosal £3 an hour and the tight fcuker even deducted me an hour for breaks. So I worked my balls off for £27 a day,he even made my split my tips that the old ladies would give me! . Took great pleasure in telling the tight fcuker where to go when I quit.
