yes and no think it depends on the circumstances. i work in a post office and when i check peoples id it always asks for the paper part when producing the photo licence. my sister does work in a money laundering department for a solicitors and says the same about producing both parts for id as they are not valid. i suppose as far as id for a pub/club etc it will be adequate
