Just to put the record straight for the more aesthetically perfect out there. the car was stolen three weeks prior to me buying it and all they took were the wheels, the seats, the bonnet and scratched up the paint , so it had the first alloys he could get at a reasonable price, a new alloy bonnet, a front set of comfy LEGACY SEATS (I'm looking for some proper ones at the right price...cheap) and a respray, obviously didn't mask the handles and all it cost me to drive it from the guys house when I bought it was my R reg Mitsubishi Galant auto. So once again, it might be a dogs dinner but to me it's a godsend.

can you take a pic of the front of the car, that way we can see if its a euro as it should have headlamp washers...don't think its JDM becuase it has no roof mounted aerial either.

I'm sorry L66bad, I didn't mean the term to sound so insulting., I was just making reference to the fact that so many conflicting dates and styles were visible on the car it made identification very difficult. It actually looks very tidy. :thumb: Wagons rule, by the way. :)

Hi mate, yep it's got headlight washers and the aeriel is in the drivers side windscreen piller. Will take photo of front as soon as posible, am also looking for a set of fog lights as these are missing as well.
I'm even more curious now as I understand that the WRX is a jap import (yes?, no?, maybe?) and according to the model code on SIDC it's a WRX yet the service history says "bought new and registered with DVLA (where I work) on 1st Aug 1994 ???? confused is not the word I'm thinking of, ......................................... Does anyone know what WRX stands for as I couldn't find it SIDC.

BTW, I have taken no offence whatsoever from the comments my pride and joy has received from others, jealousy's a terrible thing, keeps the conversations 'interesting' and thanks to everyone for the help so far, much appreciated.
