CSL is the next jump up from an STi PPP.
Oh and yes its quicker, def quicker than my 329bhp MY03 anyway. Gary |
CSL's are nice cars but they are better motors out there for the money you would spend on one.
IMO id rather have a R34 GTR |
I'd have a CSL any day. None of the Japanese cars compare for style and class :)

just my peneth... The CSL has posted some awome lap times in many mag tests now, it really does cut the mustard when it comes to fast laps no doubt about it... in terms of outright pace then 100 in 10.8 isn't hanging around but the reall gem of the car is the handling its several seconds a lap faster than a std M3 so i'd say a true drivers car...!
M3 or sti let me think DOH! I love my Sti but the M3 CSL is the beter car... by some way! just for comparison heres the figures... Laps MR340 lap 56.4 911 GT3 RS 54.2 Gallardo 55.7 Type 25 55.5 CSL 54.75 CSL 0-100 10.8 M3 12.12 Civic T R 16.02 Audi TT 16.5 Dazza |
The enemy of all cars is weight and the R34 weighs approx 350Kg more than the CSL. A 'standard' R34 only has about 320bhp aswell. Factor in the additional transmission loss for AWD and I'd say it would have some trouble keeping up ;)

Unless they have chopped 300kg off the standard car :p Tony:D |

911 GT3 RS 54.2 Gallardo 55.7 Type 25 55.5 CSL 54.75 Thats quite impressive, so how would my T25 with an extra 40hp do? ;) :D There are only two cars I could would have and I could just about afford if I wanted to get rid of the T25. One is a Noble and the other is a CSL :D I enjoy driving a standard M3 so the CSL must be something else :D Actually only ever seen one and the thing that I liked about it was the noise it made :norty: |

If you spent the same amout of money on both cars and im not talking £000's it soon becomes a different story |

Unless they have chopped 300kg off the standard car :p Tony:D Subaru STi Type RA Spec C:- 1380kg BMW M3 CSL:- 1385kg BMW M3:- 1570kg My Leightweight backbox took some weight off mine aswell, so we're talking the same figures. Unless Evo mag got the weight of the Spec C wrong? |

1350kg for the 17inch spec c, 1320kg for the 16 inch, special editions "may" be slightly heavier, but not by much ;)
Tony:D |
skylines are alright and very tuneable.
what about the loaded bmw m3 csl with the supercharger?!? now that is rapid! rather have that than any skyline |
Goes to show what evo mag knows! :Whatever_
I'll start ripping my rear seats out :norty: |
