Cos my scooby lives in the sticks in s.wales, but i live in erdington birmingham and was a while back toying with the idea of bringing to brum, but on peoples recommendations decided not to.

Dude i used to lived in Erdington for 10 years, i had P1's, STi 7/8 Evo 6/7 and
about 6 Turbo Imprezas All of which i used to parked on the drive and i never
had any problems.

Guess its just luck of the draw, where abouts in Erdington R U ? i'll give my opinion
of where you are if you want !

ALi-B 31 January 2005 05:08 PM

This happens far too much in the outskirts of Brum for my liking  There has to be a breaking point where enough is enough...surely?

Just a thought

Can Blackjax be fitted as a stand alone item or does it need to be part of a Clifford system? Have a Lazerline 291 Cat 1 in at moment?

Paul

ALi-B 31 January 2005 05:42 PM

Yes, I believe so...if they still make it that is.

I honestly don't think they care mate: didn't sound like a "steal to order job" Sounds more like a bunch of mindless tw*ts after a joyride in a fast car, be it a classic, newage, Evo, Cossie etc...

Do as I do, buy a crappy car for work/dodgy areas and use the Scoob as a toy/weekend car :)

Saves on mileage and fuel costs too!

The car screamed to a halt the driver got out and punched me in the face. I then threw the keys and told them to take it and one of the other guys tried to spray me with cs spray or something but thankfully missed. I ran off and called the police and they came within minutes. The car was recovered thanks to Blackjax and there doesnt appear to be any damage. I hope they catch the scum. They are well known by the police so fingers crossed. I hope no one else on here has to go through what I did today. Car is up for sale if anyones interested. I could not have this happen to me again.

Know how you feel mate:( The scum attempted a car jack on me back in September. It wasnt planned, think they just saw the opportunity and took it. I always keep it locked whilst driving - especially in Liverpool where I work. I had to get out of the car to swipe my gate thob to get into work, as I was getting into the car the two of them got between the car and the door. They were both pulling on the door, dont know how I kept hold but when they realised I wasnt giving in they started punching me in the head. By this time the gate had opened enough for me to get through so I got the car rolling but as it did one of them tried to get the keys but only managed to turn it one click. I rolled through the gate they followed but I got the door shut and started it again - they ran off. Looking back I should of just handed it over to them but in the heat of the moment my reaction was to just get out of there ASAP and to be honest I think I was safer in the car dont know what they would of tried if I had got out?
Police got a statement and CCTV footage but you couldnt really see their faces. Wish I had spun round now and run them both over but I would probably be locked up now if I had done that.

I have got myself a cheap run around now for work - the amount I am saving in running costs commuting to work and back pay for it:)

Ayde;)

Mr Sympathy 31 January 2005 11:24 PM

Wheelwright has a point about Erdington, certain areas better than others, I am very careful about where in Bham I drive and particularly use of blackjax. Like all places have to be careful, did live near boldmere 5 years ago, Erdington is a very different place to how i remembered it back then. Wearing a WRX fleece (very small emblem) can attract wrong attention round there now.

Mr.M 01 February 2005 12:29 AM

Best thing i did was get rid of my Sti8, the wife and i both sleep at night since it went.

Birmingham is full of scum louts who would rather steal from honest hard working people than go out and earn money.

scrappydoo 01 February 2005 12:50 AM

Sorry to hear that T-1000 mate. Glad its back though.

I wouldnt mind betting that those guys who nicked it are reading this. Anything you wanna say to them?

rallycol 01 February 2005 01:03 AM

Scum I hate them ,if anyone needs a bit of help ;) contact me and I WILL come round for a bit of fun .

My advice is keep the scoob at home for work and buy yourself an older car for 2k or less. That way you wont draw attention to yourself in undesirable areas. Its a pity scum make you want to sell something that is part of your life.

T-1000 01 February 2005 08:49 AM
