NUMBER??? Which one? An not sure about steering wheel, the leather is very worn so it might be difficult to see it any may??:freak3:

Jamescsti 27 December 2004 10:09 PM

If it doesn't have the engine plaques it's unlikely a V1 STi, the fact it doesn't have the seats either is unusual, The Nardi STi wheel says "STI" just below the horn button on the plastic ring so it wouldn't wear off

Soulgirl 27 December 2004 11:08 PM

The Applied Model number Scooby Girl..

Jamescsti... mine is on the actual leather as well - stamped in :)

RE: Same Model

My 94 has the same numbers on the vin and has a nardi steering wheel and gear knob, but i cannot understand those numbers, well i can but its just telling me i have an WRX/Sti thats not badged at all and has no colour to the manifold. One other thing that is on the vin plate is the B1 or BI Options Code which is not listed anywere.

So can we take it that we both have 240 or 250 ps???

Scooby-Girl 30 December 2004 03:31 PM

http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html
is the information on this link accurate beccause if you check model number GC8B48D engine code EJ20G DW2HE and transmision code TY752VB3CA its says car is First appearance of STi, modified from production WRX :)

stu_5 30 December 2004 06:51 PM

Never seen anyone say it's wrong yet.

Would also tie up exactly with the bits you've got in the engine bay.

Scooby-Mike 30 December 2004 08:19 PM

STU 5 - read thread from start - the picture is someone elses car showing what an STi engine should look like! :)

Scooby-Girl 31 December 2004 06:04 PM

car has no sti logos on it agree very unlikely that it is an sti :)

GC8B48D is listed down as wrx and wrx sti
EJ20G DW2HE only listed for sti engine
TY752VB3CA only listed for sti and 5 door wrx ours being a saloon

with car being wrx does it still produce 250 ps :)

Smilbertilgy 31 December 2004 06:25 PM

Only a dyno will really tell u that!!! But seen as all those lists are saying its a v.1 WRX/STi i would say 250ps and someone said in one of the earlier post.....:ponder2:
