i'm asuming that its fwd? if so could give the Maestro a run for its money:D

Andy Tang 23 July 2004 11:18 PM

At least it will be more interesting than watching the Skylines clean up in the 4WD section! ;)

Barbz Sheikh is well known in the Fiat tuning community. I think he might be talking down the power!! ;)

super_si 25 July 2004 06:01 PM

Tickets are very prompt. Came within 2 days of buying

I can't remember what colour Dan's car is, but it is running a 1.8 lump!

All are turbo'd in some fashion or another! :D

Whoops.... made a mistake!!! :o I met all the guys at JAE this weekend!

Dan, Adam and Mark have turbo'd cars!

Bill (IIRC) is the only normally aspirated car to make the qualifications!

Mr.Manchester 25 July 2004 10:12 PM

not read this but im going for keith cowie to win this year in his skyline :)

Emms 26 July 2004 10:05 AM

Was at Abbey whilst the Husband was picking up his CTR after it had the JRSC fitted. They were working on Ronnies Skyline then, what a monster. I think the RC Evo could be a dark horse, if the Izzard holds out.

Oh as for the Maestro with 500 bhp, surely tractions got to be an issue, what times is he getting. So far I think the fastest a CTR has done is 13.2 at the pod. Not to shabby. There is a DC5 Teg who is just coming sub 13's. I was looking on an American forum at the weekend and some of the USA All Motor civics were getting hi 9's....how the hell they manage that I'll never know. Thru FWD???

David_Wallis 26 July 2004 10:57 AM

fookin ell the maestro is into 11/12's iirc.. Grants car is associated with the same company 'AET Turbo's'

The golf is allready a 10sec car so it will be a contender for the title, rest assured.

I wouldnt be suprised to see 9secs from that..

The maestro runs launch control iirc.. and grips very well.. ****ing flys in third..

13s is Bottom of the table at totb.

8, 9, 10 this year at a guess..

David

This car has full audi quattro running gear and is under 3 seconds to 60  This will be one of the faster cars there this year and as David says it'll be low tens at least

David_Wallis 26 July 2004 12:25 PM

you going this year paul? if so come over and say hi again :)

P20SPD 26 July 2004 12:28 PM

Maestro did Hi 11's at the SSO at end of may. Its now blue IIRC.

Once its rolling it flys, as there is hardly any weigth to it.

I hope to :) I'm waiting for a reply from Ian Sadler to see what the plan is. We were hoping to stay up there on Saturday night to make the drive easier but haven't sorted anything yet :o:cry: Hopefully we'll be there and I'll come and see you again :)

Redkop 26 July 2004 02:50 PM

I think you will find most hotels/b & bs are fully booked Paul. We are camping, see thread in Scotland if you want details about campsite.

super_si 26 July 2004 03:07 PM

I bet theres a 6-7sec down the strip at some point :)

David_Wallis 26 July 2004 03:10 PM

how much?

And at which point :D

super_si 26 July 2004 03:44 PM

Jet car :D name ya price david lol

C 26 July 2004 04:10 PM

Keith Cowie's Skyline I think will be the one to watch on the 1/4 mile & top speed.

Ronnie's Skyline was on Abbey's Dynapack when I was there last week, with some very large Nitrous jets present :D

The RK Tuning Skyline should be rapid as hell...

Hugh Keir's Skyline looks pretty impressive (3 litre now with bigger turbos than Keith Cowie) but less revs & in a heavy R34 Vs a R32.

All apart from the RK car have sequential gearboxes too :)

CRD Supra will be very fast I think - as will Leon Greens (RUmourthat it made over 850bhp @ the hubs?)

Evo lot - the ND car should do well now it has a dog box, the RC car should be interesting if it can get some times close to it's proposed power levels, the Seahaven car lookslike it might be pretty quick (nearly 700bhp)

Cossies - Rod Tarry or Sean Bicknell seem to be the favourites?

I guess we have to wait & see! I reckon my Skyline should be good in the top speed & do fairly well in the 1/4 mile, it makes a bit more than the 700bhp they say it does on the entry form ;) :D

Dream Weaver 26 July 2004 04:20 PM

I predict that I wont be there as my engines fubar'd :(

Leon's Supra has just been mapped and it was over 1000bhp. Quote from Mark Shead who mapped Keith's Skyline....

the Skyline was hitting 200mph+ before 3/4 of a mile!
An easy 1000bhp+
That Skyline was insane http://www.passionford.com/forum/ima...on_mrgreen.gif it pulled 8400rpm in 6th and stopped in 3/4mile http://www.passionford.com/forum/ima...es/shocked.gif Top car ran faultlestly all day.

and the Norris Evo @ 675bhp & 553lb torque. They are all on Autronic

Scuba 26 July 2004 08:57 PM

New To Scoob 26 July 2004 09:08 PM

^^ what he said ^^ :D :D

John.

kammy 26 July 2004 11:00 PM

Why havnt the Ren 5gt turbos entered totb (ever!). Fair play they are slow comparred to the big boys, but in FWD they are blistering down the 1/4mile, didnt the Gt tunning, bb tunning, Euro parts etc cars used to run 12secs years ago?
kam

jjones 26 July 2004 11:13 PM

there are a couple of pmt (pikey mod tuners) currently running 12.x on the 1/4. there is serious talk of them cracking the 11's this year.

not bad for a 1.4 fwd.
