Merry Christmas chaps.
Whether TVRs engines have non UK parts I d'ont know. From what I've read on some TVR sites though the Speed Six engines have major issues and most are being rebuilt. Anyway the reliablity issues were not the point of my thread, I was just curious now that everyone from Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo etc had these aids why TVR resisted. I'm off for some Xmas lunch and I hope you all enjoy yours and hope we can all enjoy more petrolhead banter next year!

Hey! We managed to control powerful cars in the old days without driver aids! Kids these days dont know what cadence braking is, what it feels like to have to wrestle a steering wheel rather than just using 1 hand (in the obligatory 12 o clock position ;) )
That yon cant just floor it in the wet in your powerful RWD car, otheriwise you'll end up in a ditch!

Seems to me the best way to get people to drive more sensibly is to take away all the things that make crashing safe!

Lets have an idea of the consequences of driving like a fool and crashing into a lampost at 50mph please!

Traction control and abs are not necessary if you can drive :D

And it is just more to go wrong/cost money

TVRs are `real` cars! :D
