Further to my SPECS post..
I have not managed to validate the authenticity of the note I received in work despite futher checks.
If anyone knows a friendly *traffic cop* they may be able to shed more light on specs.
I know the company that makes these cameras does exist, see: http://www.speedcheck.co.uk/ And there have been hoax claims that are reported on their website, but I dont think its been updated this month.

cheers
STIJohnny

my scooby has gone! :(

but my new toy is sat on the drive :D

very smooth swap over, sold the bugeye to a Scoobynetter, hes chuffed to bits with it, and quite rightly too, it was as near to spotless as a second hand car can be. Its gone up to Newcastle area, so no chance of seeing it around :(

Andy :D Nice one matey :D No excuse for missing meets though :)

Guys, I know of nothing re: Specs cameras, haven't heard of any information saying they're beeing put up, but they will look like this...I'll see if I can find out anymore on tuesday (day off tomorrow :)). As far as I know they were being trialled on the M6 and in Nottingham, they've been placed on the M20 - but heard nothing about the M27.

They do measure your speed over a set distance (usually a mile) and you can be prosecuted...
