Renault 19 16v
|
I had an Escort 1.3L peice of crap. Basically in the space of a month or two of having it I had the engine replaced and sold it again, it was a nail. After my first car mistake I went out and got a newish Cavalier SRi and promised never to buy a car under £1k again.
|
I had a Renault 5 Gordini which was a fine little car, only problem was it couldn't go round bends or stop!!
Most fun I've ever had on 4 wheels was the 10 months in the Gordini!!! Dom. |
Ford Escort 1.3 Pop (1985 -'C' reg)
Was 17 at the time, (back in 1990) and was paying £700 fully comp for it! It got absolutelly ragged silly, still sold it on for a good price though ;) |
Hyundi Pony 1.3 GL :D maroon with beige interior
never had a more reliable car ! At least 50 miles every day for 1 year. Never serviced, 1 oil change. The only prob I ever had was a fuel filter:eek: |
1977 Ford Fiesta Popular Plus 950cc (RHN 704R)
ran that fecker into the ground. I couldn't park it on a hill otherwise the gearbox emptied itself of oil. Driveshaft kept dropping out when going round corners Gearlever snapped off, had to drive around in 2nd gear for weeks.. Couldn't work out what this ticking noise was - until I spotted all the cords hangout of the tyres and flapping against the wheelarches.. :D |
Awesome! I love finding out what people had first. Everyone loves their first motor no matter how crap it was!
|
Well mine a was an x plate MG Metro. It had red seat belts, buckets seats and 4 additional spot lights :D lol
VERY lucky I lived at the top of a hill, cos it needed a bump start at least 3 times a week lol :D |
The first car I actually owned was a 205 GTi 1.9
|
A 995cc Ford Anglia :D
Car was older than me Number plate was worth more than the car; wish I'd known that when I sold it for scrap |
Mini 1275 GT V reg 1980
Bored out to 1380 Avonbar conversion. Great fun car......only problem was the head gasket used to keep blowing as the bores were to big really for the block. |
Mini 1275 GT 'T' Reg
Soon transplanted engine into Clubman due to the dreaded rust and several (yes, several) engine rebuilds later sold it for a profit. :) |
F reg Nova SR!!!!:D:D
|
Dutton Phaeton S3, 1600 X-flow (ford) engine, the closest thing I could get to my dream Caterham for 1500 quid. Had it for 4 yrs. It felt fast but I know it wasn't. Also melted a piston trying to get down the M3 in a headwind - aerodynamics of a brick. Damn good fun delivering pizzas in it (holiday job).
thecirsh, you're not my brother are you? He put his gold Mk II Capri 2.0S through a Chinese restaurant while still on the cover note of the insurance. |
3 door Chevette in snot green
The fun I had in that car ;) |
D reg Mini with a Janspeed head and exhaust and 13" slotmags
I only had that for a few months til I had to sell it but it was replaced by a Mk2 Cavalier 1.6L. Crap suspension but healthy motor-easily a match for my mates Mk2 xr2's. Til it came to the corners. Took out a fence with it strangely enough... |
hand painted pink MK1 escort which died on the way home, then a nova SR till i was 19 then a 3 year old XR4i with a 180bhp torque development engine and no LSD so it would wheel spin in the wet in 3rd lol
