Yup - I always feel too guilty :( So I wouldn't enjoy it anyway :(

Had about 4 days off sick this year - 2 with flu (I couldn't stand up without seeing stars!) and 2 for an operation on my foot... after the operation I suggested I take work home and my boss told me not to be so stupid and relax :D Excellent boss :)

Not really a good excuse but when I was working weekends at Halfords I quickly used up my holiday entitlement to go rallying.

I think they knew where I was when I rang in sick, all my mates certainly knew. The time my old man rang in for me as we were going through the noise test probably confirmed their suspicions!

Best I've ever heard was a mate from Glasgow. Every now and then he'd be off for a day or two, claiming "kidney trouble".

Being a sensitive chap, I asked him if he had kidney stones, or a recurring infection. He laughed and said: [Rab C. Nesbitt accent]"Naw, whut ah mean iz ah kidnae be bothered coming tae work"[/Rab C. Nesbitt accent].

True ;)

One of my mates got shipped off to boarding school when we were all about 17. In order to get a day of school he told his parents that our mate had Colin died and he had to attend the funeral. He even tapped them for £50 for flowers / taxi etc. What a tinker

I always feel guilty that i'm off sick cause i'm convinced that they will think i'm skiving. I've only ever made up an excuse once and that was so I could go to Drayton Manor Park for the day!! Told them I had a migrane.

I had 3 weeks off laying on my front, when i had a new arsecrack fitted, due to having an Ingrowing Hair :D Most unpleastant, when they cut the sutres out, the stitch would twang out my new arse super fast and would make me flinch, still it made the nurses laff and she said i had a nice Bum. :D :D

Edited to say, No you cant have pics :D

the odd hangover sickie is obligatory but involves no lying - "I'm feverish, shaking, weak and with terrible runs" - yup that's about on the money. cause very different matter from effect.
