Just to keep the raving Askew happy coz he doesnt like small tight tunnels. Ferry Crossing for £85 return. You can book in on http://www.ferry.co.uk/ferry/index.jsp

I doubt it will hold for long at these prices.

M

NOZZER 05 June 2003 02:31 PM

Tavia, what time have you booked the tunnel or ferry? So i know what time to book myself

Edcase 05 June 2003 04:03 PM

mutant_matt 06 June 2003 08:15 AM

<desperately thinking of a suitable comeback ;)>

Mike Rainbird 06 June 2003 12:38 PM

Matt Oz,
Could you please book Jen and I a room, Charlie + 1, Bob + 1. We are also having someone with a wheel-chair coming in our group. I have given him the details to book the room that Rupert had at Easter, if anyone else in the above lot has already booked that, would they mind giving it up for him so he can be with us all? He will be bringing his BMW ZM Coupe (bread-van ;)) :D.
Cheers :D

mutant_matt 06 June 2003 02:14 PM

 This is looking more and more like the Easter Ringers reunion ;):D Is Andy coming again?

Matt :)

TaviaRS 06 June 2003 04:21 PM

Yay, Charlie's coming! :D Will he be bringing the Ford or a proper car? ;) :p

:D

Edcase 06 June 2003 06:29 PM

Just back from a top day at hullavington. Looks like there are quite a few of us from Bristol now. What time do those wanting to catch the ferry want to do it so we can start booking. Its half the price of the tunnel!

Type R 07 June 2003 11:10 AM

I can see some grovling to the missus coming on.

Just need to see if I can get the time off :D

Edcase 08 June 2003 11:49 PM

Right, there are about 6 of us coming from bristol way, we are going to book the ferry etc tomorrow or tues. Has anyone booked it yet? If so what times / dates shall we book? Are we gonna all meet the other side (with the tunnel people?)

Edcase 10 June 2003 01:10 PM

Anybody???

TaviaRS 11 June 2003 07:33 AM

I'll be going from near Yeovil. I'm booked on the 0730 tunnel crossing.

Edcase 11 June 2003 08:53 AM

Cool so you'll be passing Bristol on the way then? We can convoy up. Is it going to be possible to meet up again on the other side so we can convoy there too so we don't get lost

:D

TaviaRS 11 June 2003 09:06 AM

Nah, 303, M3, M25 for me. No problem meeting up on the other side.

Edcase 11 June 2003 09:12 AM

I can always make the 303...should be a fun drive that time of the day too :D

I think my record from London to Plymouth was.....oooh....

:D

TFyus 11 June 2003 07:52 PM

when and who do we need to pay for the rooms...

cheers

For information:

P and O Ferries are doing a deal at the mo.. basically its a tenner a day that you're away ie go for a day trip it ten quid, go for 3 days 30 quid, 5 days 50 quid up to a maximum of 10 days for a hundred notes.. dont dont much else but I think their website has the offer on it www.poferries.com

Cheers

R :)

mutant_matt 17 June 2003 10:49 AM

From £10 per day - I just tried to book a week (to see if it really was £10 per day) and it was £128 - barstewards!!!

Matt.

Eat My Dust 17 June 2003 11:34 AM

It can be booked for a tenner a day, but you have to stick to the crossing times of the two ships available.

I was able to get a quote on the website for a mid July crossing, 9 days, going Sat coming back following Sun, for £90. So it worked. Downside was 4.30am crossing on way across.

I thought I would check my usual ferry bookers, and got a more civilised crossing time and 9 day return with P&O for £83

EMD.

mutant_matt 17 June 2003 11:50 AM

DOH - got it now ;):):D

Richard Askew 17 June 2003 12:39 PM

 :D

MRK 17 June 2003 01:36 PM

P & O thing runs only for crossing until July 14th. Unless weve changed the dates of this trip, it don't count.

Now are we going to arrange times for the ferry/chunnel crossing, or shall we take our pick and hope we all meet up. Unless I'm not invited :(

NOZZER 17 June 2003 02:14 PM

Just got a quote for £274, i hear all these deals for ferries but i never can find them. Am i missing something?

Richard Askew 17 June 2003 03:53 PM

MRK ya poof :D course you are....... I think ;)

Its ages away yet NO PANIC!!!

:)
