PTS, I wouldn't touch them even with someone else's bargepole.

stew911 05 January 2007 07:55 PM

not going there now, have opted to get andy from esl to remap it.

scoobynutta555 06 January 2007 12:34 PM

Post 33, why has this been edited? What has been taken out of my original post?

ex-webby 06 January 2007 08:57 PM

Potentially libellous / slanderous remarks.

scoobynutta555 07 January 2007 09:31 AM

Not at all. I was properly annoyed and will happily stand in court with the rest of the masses.

Can I suggest you look at the Law that applies in this country, as that is what we have to abide by and also look at the implications of what you say may have for ScoobyNet....... it's not all about the knock on implications for you only.

scoobynutta555 20 January 2007 08:50 AM

I'm sure there's a law too against ripping off the public with shoddy engine work :D

Lee-B STi Type UK 21 January 2007 03:56 PM

I went to look for SFS (silicon hose place) to get a nice set of red hoses for the scoob at the Kingsway estate by dallow road where PTS are also based, and as well as finding out SFS have since moved premises :brickwall also looks like PTS are shutting up shop.

scoobynutta555 :thumb: , as well as agreeing with what you said that got 'edited' I have to stick up for you, I was taken for a massive bill there once (£1463 for a blown RS turbo escort cylinder head, mahle pistons and rings replaced and refitted :wonder: !) and even turning up one evening to drop (the same) car off as it wouldn't hold revs properly and getting a call just after I had left when they were closed and was told the throttle cable screw had come loose. A £68 bill (surely not an hours work?)for tightening/replacing a 10p screw was the last straw for me.

Well my FRST was 'chipped' there and within 2 months the engine blew. (They stuck a bleed valve on which was running 18 psi, when as standard the boost would be something like 6 or 7.) I took it back there to be fixed, they had it 2 weeks and then told me I needed a new engine, charge for this diagnosis was 700 odd quid. I sort of knew the engine was gone due to the oil all over the radiator, bumper and the fact that the car wouldn't start.

Then a fried of the chairman of the RSOC sourced a new engine from Ford for 695 quid, and another mate of his (ex Ford rally mechanic) fitted it for a very reasonable price.

So you can see why I'm a bit fed up of PTS and why a lot of other people are fed up too. It's quite simply laughable that this can be construed as libel.

scoobynutta555 16 August 2008 04:13 PM

Might have improved since I was there, but I doubt it. You'll have to tell us how you get on; maybe do a search before you put your car somewhere!

Ian 16 August 2008 04:53 PM

i would go back there asap and get my car, even if they have cleaned up there act, would you want to risk it??

i know i wouldnt

scoobyhep 18 August 2008 12:18 PM

I wish i had done a search :iamwithst

I'll let them do the rolling road tune up and if they say it needs any work i'll just pick it up straight away.
