Depends what you want to spend. Can be built to whatever spec you want.https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...2e3111c14.jpeghttps://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...44b9f8a4c.jpeg

so will I. I have been promised certain figures but having talked to a certain somebody who is renowned in the turbo building game, iam very sceptical. I have got a graph of what it made on a hub dunno on a 2.1 without head work so should easily exceed with the engine build I have.

sonic93 01 March 2018 10:17 PM

I thought this was gonna be settled on the drag strip Wtf happened

RAGGY DOO 01 March 2018 11:34 PM

Massive tubby that porn

johnlogie 01 March 2018 11:51 PM

Would like to see a pic of that fitted Dave to see how much room there is.
Can you share engine spec and supporting mods and expected power?

sonic93 02 March 2018 07:05 AM

Iv seen cars beyond 700 with this turbo

daveriley123 02 March 2018 07:34 AM

Should make 650 v power 750 race fuel.

BrownPantsRacing 02 March 2018 10:33 AM

That's a very nicely built turbo Dave. Very nice indeed.

RAGGY DOO 02 March 2018 10:33 AM

sorry meant £1500 just for a fitted rotated kit excluding the turbo mate-:)

madwrx 02 March 2018 04:52 PM

a 35r certainly isnt a big turbo by modern standards-the whole origional idea for rotating was for allowing bigger turbos without taking routing under intake manifold-mine has a 3" outlet and fits fine-

This is the turbo mounted in the chevron car. A spec c inlet is needed with small spacers n some slight machining of the block and box.

turbotog 02 March 2018 05:49 PM

Anyone havr any experience of the precision turbo 6262? Americans say it boosts earlier and makes same/more power..

i have to say thats a very tidy install-turbo seems to sit very low to reach under inlet -very nice job

madwrx 02 March 2018 07:54 PM

the precision turbos are a good bit cheaper than any garrett offering in the u.s-loads of them listed from normal size to frickin ginormous- oil cooled bearings though so no water connection to these on the ones i,ve seen:)

madwrx 02 March 2018 08:00 PM

what spec is your car dave?just built or adding tubby to existing engine?

turbotog 02 March 2018 08:50 PM

Yeah did notice they were air cooled which is odd but the Americans love them lol.

Out of interest, what size injectors are being used for 600+

1000cc upwards.SJ.

daveriley123 02 March 2018 10:14 PM

Be careful with injector choice as there isn’t many that can cope with race fuel.

turbotog 02 March 2018 10:37 PM

Pretty sure you can do 600 on 750cc upwards.. but bigger will not be working so hard although you should aim for the smallest injector you can safely get away with so you get a better spray pattern.
Ids can't do race fuel can they?

That's some lovely engine pics btw!

No, id currently don’t do an injector that can withstand race fuel. I know this first hand along with Mickey Singh n Brian Coward as we all tried them last year with the same results. I have gone with an asnu 1200 this year which has been tried n tested up to 120ron. Asnu rate there injectors at 80% cycle so compared to id, ic etc they are more like a 1500. Must agree that the smallest injector must be used to accompany the build as using an oversized one will cause problems.

Mike L 03 March 2018 09:26 AM

The ID 1000 are fine the ID 2000 don't work with MTBE. I have stuck with the ID 1000 but run 4.3 static pressure

not sure on the 1000’ as I was using 750cc n Brian was using 2000cc. Not sure what mickey was using but I’d imagine 2000. All suffered with the seals swelling. Believe they have brought out an x range but they are mega expensive n havnt heard of any feedback on them yet.
