I disagree about racism being worse in the 70s. There was a lot less understanding back then and most racism was based on that .... today it has a nasty and more sinister edge to it. It's less obvious now I grant you, but deeper rooted and more underground. It's not pleasant.

I was listening to some Jews on the radio describing how there had been some 300 individual attacks on UK synagogues and Jewish people in the last few months. Anyway IMO it's become a sad nasty small minded little country and the sooner I am on my way the better.
