Yes discipline Clarkson for his behaviour but he was the one who owned up to his own bad behaviour as opposed to anyone making an official complaint so all this money being wasted on an official investigation is just pathetic. I hope figures are made public on just how much money the BBC have wasted on this debacle, both through an investigation and in the 3 episodes not now being aired.

Its fine we the licence payer will stump up for it ....

Alegidily Guy Martin is the third. He is a bit busy with the TT at the minute.

scooberuni 09 June 2015 12:48 AM

They're making the leftover footage into an extended episode according to the Top Gear website:-

I still can't see it, I get the impression he has very little if any interest in being a TV personality.

jaygsi 09 June 2015 08:47 AM

I think you will find that 5th gear finished ages ago.

Wouldn't know, it was a woeful program.

Ste RB5138 09 June 2015 01:05 PM

5th Gear is still going on the History channel :thumb:

God knows how many viewers they have.

Just saw a trailer on BBC Three for it... "Top Gear. Coming soon on BBC2." Showing Jezza, Ham and May based footage.

Must be it then.

mystery_machine 16 June 2015 07:49 PM

Chris Evans has just signed a three year contract to host it :|

Tidgy 16 June 2015 08:16 PM

doubt it will go more than a season with evans on it, should have got rid and if they wanted to do start a new program

Dirk Diggler 75 28 June 2015 10:03 PM

Just watched the last episode, wasn't too bad be a shame to change the presenters but that's life I suppose ....

steve05wrx 28 June 2015 10:06 PM

Films were good but Hammond and Mays studio links were very flat. You could really tell that their hearts weren't in it!

Edmondo 28 June 2015 10:21 PM

The last film I thought was what Top Gear was all about.......Well lets hope ITV lets them have a real licence to have fun and to beat "New" Top Gear

S204Darren 28 June 2015 10:45 PM

I don't know about anyone else but I felt quite sad tonight knowing it was the end of Top gear as we know it.

LSherratt 28 June 2015 11:19 PM

Thank goodness it's all over :lol1:! I actually watched it tonight, well 3/4's of it which is a record for me. The bit I enjoyed watching the most was the Japfest section strangely enough, everything else was average at best. Don't get me started on the caravan racing/destruction derby though :lol1: same old top gear at it again; nothing new there. Hopefully Chris Evans will bring fresh ideas to the table and make it enjoyable once again.

A few days ago I watched an old episode of TG on Dave (I think it was from 2006) and Clarkson was testing a Jaguar X type estate. You know, a family estate car, affordable, manual V6 engine and it was really good to watch, relatively sensible and an honest review of a normal car.

Jonnys3 28 June 2015 11:22 PM

I thought the last film this evening was the funniest I've seen in a long time. I know there will be critics and a lot of it was typically staged, but it had me in stitches. They all looked like they were genuinely having a laugh with the caravans, and the section at Japfest was good too.

Petem95 29 June 2015 12:02 AM

RIP Top Gear!

Absolutely no interest in watching Chris Evans, but looking forward to the new programme Clarkson/May/Hammond are on on Netflix or whatever! Tonights episode involving studio scenes with just May & Hammond basically highlighted to me that it's nothing without Clarkson.

WRXrowdy 29 June 2015 07:44 AM

Man sausage wheels!

I read the latest is they are going to sign for ITV and go up against Top Gear in the same time slot.

Interesting if true, and brave ( or hubris more like) because I suspect that would end in failure

bioforger 29 June 2015 10:25 AM

Clarkson is starting a new show on Netflix with Hammond n May is he not? Channel/deal isn't confirmed as yet, but its more likely Netflix than any other.

Latest report yesterday said they were very near to signing a deal with ITV, and going head to head with Top Gear. Clarkson being reported as saying that would be the perfect way to stick two fingers up at the beeb.

bioforger 29 June 2015 12:13 PM

Nah I reckon it will be Netflix, ITV will be too PC for Clarkson n co ;) I guess its who pays the most at the end of the day, we'll see ;)

gary77 29 June 2015 12:32 PM

i wonder how much itv will charge for the adverts inbetween , if they do get it
