17s do feel different to 18s but not greatly when you have coilovers etc.
decent tyres is what makes the difference.

On my WRX I have sti set up on handerling & front strut bar. But got standed wheels . 15or16 I think . They came with the car . Am hoping to get some wheels for track day so what would be better .

17s I'd say most people me included would say they are beat for a newage car.

Woo 15 pages. Not checked back for a while, what were talking about, something about cat litter scoops?

I have 17s on rota boosts. They look great and the nangkang tyres are good too. Just need new suspension all round

Did that happen whilst attempting to beat Tony Pond's 1990 Isle of Man top speed record set in a Rover 800 before Mark Higgins snatched it in an Impreza?

I always thought 16's were best for the classic? I think for track days most people have larger brakes so 17's are the next best thing.

My type r certainly felt better with the original 16's and sat at a decent height until I ruined it with 17's.

Part of the reason I don't mod very much, Subaru put a lot of R&D into both versions and set them up right imo with 16's for classic and 17's for newage, it's just the comedy brakes that they got wrong.

This.
