I deplore the use of the word "target" as a verb. Nevertheless, I have to point out that non-targeted gunship attacks would be pointless. :)

Well, the Hamas and PIJ suicide-murderers seem keen on the indiscriminate.

Anyway, goodnight, Geoff.

When you say 'The Palestinians', by the way, do you mean the people or the state?

I don't condone suicide bombings, by the way. :)

Lebanon is not ruled by Israel yet we have posters on here saying Hezzbollah are fighting to free the Lebanese?

Palestinians living in the Palestinian National Authority are not 'ruled' by Israel, yes in the areas under Israeli military rule you could make that argument yet otoh you have a logical security reason why Israel administers those areas as it does.

Israel's attempt to negotiate a two state solution were not arbitrary or cruel, yet otoh the PLO couldn't even decide what it wanted.

If you are talking about being 'ruled' then the majority of the individual are oppressed then since true democracies are rare. Any minority in an Islamic state must be oppressed also.

I think he's talking about an existential entity which is really a construct.

Look what you've done now! You've started them off talking to himself, I mean each other!:D

You'd better deal with it! :D

But you have the PA which is not run by the Israeli military, and a two state solution was offered by rejected by Arafat with no counter offer. Israel unilaterally disengaged from Gaza in 2005.

Did Israel elect Hamas?

Also no humanist would need to use lies and propaganda which just makes me thing the Palestinian 'cause' is weak.

I am pretty sure I answered all your comments above already.

Oh, god! What did you resurrect this for?

If I understand you correctly you are trying to say Israel is making Islam a victim, but it looks to me like if anyone is a victim it's just the Palestinians.

I was bored and its nice to hear an opposite point of view after all its only by further understanding of both sides of an argument that people can hope to mediate disputes. Unfortunately only Tony is posting and he has nothing interesting to add.

I've asked why you bring Islam into this.

Good call to lock this thread now, more than run its course and no one is any wiser to be honest.

While you're at it can you organise to get the two Zionist Chuckle Brothers locked up too? :lol1:

I'm off out, just a large Bloody Mary before I do. :D

Not in any satisfactory way. I remember you saying something about the Koran teaching about 'brotherhood', but that would be an intellectual rationalisation and does not fit with the extreme emotion seen. Also you have Terrorists who flout the Koran and you don't see the same level of protest, same for Iraqis who kill Muslim Iraqis.

Doesn't make sense using reason as a measure.

Enough is enough, and perhaps some people will be a little lost by this post.

Whilst I understand that these types of threads may be a little 'too common' and wind people up, there is no need to get really personal.

Arguing and disagreeing is one thing, but come on, it's a forum and people have differing points of view. However much we all may differ in opinions, personal info shouldn't really be disclosed in order to 'have a go'.

I may not agree with alot that has been posted throughout recent threads, but nevertheless, it doesn't make it ok to start acting the way peeps are now. :( Attack someones opinions, or even how they come across, but posting personal stuff is a step to far.

I'm not getting all heavy handed, but I think this is best locked, and I ask kindly that this isn't carried on in a new/different thread.
