Dude, I gotta say you seem pretty calm considering someone just made such a mistake. It's permanently etched into your skin ffs https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/freak3.gif

mrtheedge2u2 22 December 2008 07:57 PM

Wonder who you are on any normal given day :D

Blimey your first post on SN, just to tell me that, thanks :thumb: ;)

At the end of the day, the tattoo is far from finished. Whats to panic about ? Its not like it cannot be corrected, IF I decide to do so :)

rootkit 22 December 2008 08:00 PM

Hey I gotta start somewhere. Jeez, suspicious lot aren't you!

Seriously, how can it be corrected though? Laser?

Could have it lasered, manipulated with more lines to confuse the lines in the image, covered. Plenty of options really. None of which leave me with any cause for concern at this point :) Its a tiny piece of detail on a large tattoo. But will be right when its finished, which is not for months yet.

Moi, suspicious. Naaaaaa, sarcastic maybe, but not suspicious. ;)

yoza 22 December 2008 08:10 PM

You will be amazed at what a good tattoo artist can change/modify/coverup....its not set in stone, and Im sure if Snazy feels it worthy, he can simply have parts of it changed/modded/added too etc.

An example below.....this is to show what CAN be done, and certainly not what Snazy needs to do.

Indeed mate. And as we are only talking about a couple of lines here, im sure I can come to an agreement with her, on what can be done.
Gonna see what is offered in January. Pretty sure I would not be charged for the laser work if that is what was decided on. But I reckon that would be drastic.

Remembering of course that the style of these themes is about as far from photo realism as you can get, so quirky is acceptable. To me anyway lol.

In short though, it wont be staying like that :)

PS, thats a great bit of cover up there!

+Doc+ 22 December 2008 08:57 PM

It would be changed or covered very easy, you could even extend the shaded design just lower than the foot and extend it up to give the Samurai more sense of depth.

Here is my wifes cover up, there is a small butterfly behind the wings that has been shaded through.

Snazy 22 December 2008 09:01 PM

Thats a lovely piece there Doc :)

Indeed the options on rectification on my warriors foot are almost endless at this point :) I will be sure to post up the decided solution when its done :D

+Doc+ 22 December 2008 09:18 PM

Thanks, she loves it.
I was always wary of her having something so large done in a prominent position but having seen it I really like it.

The Dogs B******s 22 December 2008 09:19 PM

I like it too, looks really well done

Snazy 22 December 2008 10:06 PM

A friend (female) has just had the second session on a full back piece of a set of wings. Looking lovely, but a very brave piece without a doubt. Not to everyones taste for sure.

The position of that piece is perfect for that design I reckon :)
Looks fab to me :D

JimmyBFC 05 January 2009 04:20 PM

Connor_scotland 05 January 2009 05:55 PM

Thats cool mate

I have one tatoo going down my forearm

Just "Connor" in old english font

995 of people see having your name as pointless but it means something to me - My mate was wanting to branch out into the tatoo business i was his sample an it came out brilliant. Had 1 letter recoloured because i pulled the scab off

whitescoob95 05 January 2009 06:31 PM

theboy 05 January 2009 07:47 PM

Must admit there are a few decen pieces of work on here but some are quite frankly awfull:( :(

Gargohlyes in Halifax is one of the best around. Not cheap but its better than having a piece of sh*t on your skin:)

mystery_machine 05 January 2009 07:56 PM

Heres mine I had it done just over a year ago, 10 hours work involved :)

Any chance of a closer pic of that mate ? Loving the colours there :D
10 hours too, bloody well done for such a short time.

The Boy, you got me worried now, which end of the scale are mine lol

In all honesty I really think as long as the person who the tattoo is on is happy, then its job done.
Each persons taste differs. For me, mine are out of sight, and really only for me, so as long as im happy, its all good :D

whitescoob95 05 January 2009 08:13 PM

:thumb: I do my best lol.
hanja masks are my next more, shoulder pieces, got some ideas for them already :D

I travel 160-180 miles (round trip) per sitting for mine mate. Its not about bringing the tattooist to you, its about getting to them ;) IMO anyway.
A few 3-5 hour sessions would save the travelling, but get the work done.

Im sure yours can be cleaned up a little, suprising what a good artist can do these days.

At the end of the day though, I have said it before, I dont regret any of my tattoo's and am happy with what they signify. I would hope most would feel the same about theirs too.

Lots more to come yet lol

whitescoob95 05 January 2009 08:29 PM

i have all the ideas but need to look for a good tattooist, tattooist and client relationship must be a great one!!! any recommendations??

Im sure there are some recommendations from that neck of the woods on some of the tattoo threads on here. For me its a bit out of my area, I go Leighton Buzzard by Milton Keynes lol.

Im sure there are some more northern places mentions though :) Have a looksie.
It a good artist you want to start with..... thats where the trust begins for me.

mystery_machine 05 January 2009 08:42 PM

this is the biggest version i got of it :)
