Honda S2000
As is the way with all good things, my ownership of this amazing car has got to come to an end. My wife has said we need something a little more practical that fits more than the 2 of us, and so she must be found a new home (the car, not the wife....unfortunetly)
Where do I start.... This car is simply awesome - Thats not a sales pitch, it has to be the only way I can describe this car. It looks amazing, it handles very well, it's fast, its comfortable, its surprisingly economical on fuel and above all....its a convertible and the summer is here!!!
The car is in excellent condition and benefits from Full Service History, and has an extensive wallet of receipts from Honda and other main dealers, totalling well into the £1000's. I have added a few tastefull modifications since purchasing it. These are Listed below...
Brand New 18" Lenso RS5 Deep Dish alloys with polished lips - These wheels really transform the look of the car. Nearly all other S2000's I have seen still have the horrid 15" alloys which are very susceptible to the laquer lifting and then corroding underneath - Which is what happened to mine. The alloys alone cost the best part of £1000 and are still immaculate. In order to keep the car planted and improve handling, I have fitted a pair of Brand New Toyo T1r tyres to the back - These tyres, in my experience, are the best all round tyre money can buy - The grip is second to none, and they offer excellent wear rates with very low road noise. Up front, I have fitted a pair of Brand New Falken 459's - These are an excellent tyre, which offer excellent handling. The package allows you to put the power down and stick to the corners without worrying if the car is going to slide out on you. The tyres alone were nearly £500 - But worth every penny!
Stainless Steel Cobra Performance Exhaust - This exhaust not only improves the look of the car, and obviously drastically improves the exhaust not, both around town, and whilst operating the VTEC, but its main purpose is performance!! The increase in mid-range torque is amazing, whilst offering a reasonable 10 bhp addition to the stats sheet. I do have the OEM exhaust system if this is not to your taste, and would be happy to swap the systems over for you.
Brand New Garage Decat Pipe - This very simple piece of stainless steel increases the mid-range and low end torque figures impressively and again adds a few points to the BHP. It is fitted with the lamda extention which is required to stop the ECU throwing up error codes - Beware of other S2000's running a Decat without these devices or similar items, as it can cause the car to go into "Limp" mode and will REALLY spoil your drive home!!
It has also been fitted with a Cat1 Sigma Alarm & Immobiliser - This is one of the best alarms on the market, and comes with 2 remote fobs.
All in all, these few mods really help improve not only the aesthetics of the car, but noticably improves the security, performance and handling. To put it this way, a friend of mine has a Subaru WRX which has a dyno printout for 310bhp - On the odd occasion the oppertunity has arrisen, this car keeps pace with his in all aspects on straight and winding roads.
I have also bought a tonneu cover for the roof when its retracted, to just tidy the whole thing up - This is shown fitted in the pictures and will be included in the sale - From Honda, these are nearly £400!!
The car is in excellent condition all round with no noticable defects to note. There is the odd tiny blemish on the bumper and some minute scratches on the OS rear wing consistant with the cars age, but they have all been touched up and you literally cannot notice them at all, they certainly do nothing to detract from the overall beauty and good looks of the car, but in the interest of clarity I thought it best to mention.
The interior is unmarked and benefits from some Brand New mats I fitted last month.
Basically, this is an excellent all round car that has had £1000's spent by the previous owners, and £1000's spent by me too.... Absolutely any inspection is welcomed and you are invited to come for a test drive, as long as you can provide proof of comprehensive insurance for this car. For peace of mind of the new owner I will give the car a mini service (Oil change, filter clean etc..) and put 12months MOT on it for you too, all included in the price.
After selling this car, I will be looking for its replacement, and will be in the market for something like an Audi S6/8 or maybe another Impreza, I would consider taking something as p/x,
