VW SCIROCCO GT TSI 250BHP TIMING CHAIN REPLACED !
Hello Folks,I know 99% of people on this site are Scooby fanatics like me but I thought i would advertise my daily driver. Firstly,i am a car fanatic,ex technician and been in the motor trade for 21 years. I take great pride in my cars regarding appearance, performance and how they drive but sadly myself and my wife are selling our daily runner which we are both very fond of. This Scirocco is not to be confused with other petrol versions as it is running 250-255 b h p instead of the standard 210 and has had the all important timing chain kit replaced in August 2019,only 7,500 miles ago! It pulls from low revs,is quicker than a standard car and can return 40 mpg if driven gently. These are great cars but don’t be fooled into buying one with a good history that looks nice. The timing chain stretches ,the tensioner is weak and will fail between 70,80,000 miles depending on how it is driven, the results when this happens are catastrophic for the engine. I had this one replaced purely as a precaution ,it is a £1,000 job at VW and i have a receipt for this which was carried out at my place of work. It sits on 19 inch wheels which are painted gloss black,no kerbing marks,i’ve never kerbed a car in my life. I also had the chrome VW badges, mirrors and fuel cap painted black, against the white car i think it looks great. The service mileages are 5,258 miles , 7,180 miles, 17,130 miles, 26,872 miles,39,158 miles,56,549 miles ,66 048 miles,73,592 miles and just recently at 78,900 miles. The car passed it’s m o t in August only 2 months ago and the only advisory wqs front brake discs. There was still life left in the brakes but i just replaced the discs and pads on Wednesday 28/10,a few days ago to now give the new owner piece of mind. A new clutch was fitted at 71,055 miles in June 19,rear brake discs / pads and callipers in September 19 and two new front springs at 74,998 miles.I actually spent around £2,000 on repairs and maintenance in the first 6 months of ownership but i didn’t care as we both loved the car. We have 2 keys, every receipt,m o t and the v5 is in my wifes name. This is a £6995 car from a dealers forecourt and people still ask 3-£4,000 for ones with 130,000 miles, this car has done 81,000 and it is £6,000.
Reason for sale is i have an expensive toy/Subaru and i’m going into a boring slow diesel company car.😞 Ps, the second picture makes the bonnet look like it has loads of chips on the paintwork, it doesn’t,it’s just the way the photo turned out!

Hello Scoobydon’t.
The price is £6,000. I should really have added that in when I copied/pasted my advert from gumtree and Pistonheads..........
