Loads of good evos on mlr for this money
Rs4 can be bought for this now and 996 turbo too
Obviously as on sn lots of scoobs in for sale section like type25 hawk or go to a tuner and get a Scoob built to your spec and have change
Might get an exige for this money too

The 996 turbo (tip) was one of the most disappointing cars I ever drove

M5 or CSL? Though the CSL is a 3 series, it's the best one to have...

Or a nice Z3M Coupe and save a load of cash...

really need a bit more info than, a bit nippy

4 door, coupe, 2 seater ect ect.

or you just looking for pointers in general?

id love a 911 of sorts, but not sure what youd get for your money, apart from that id be stumped lol
as sad as it sounds, probably another big bhp subaru tbh lol i know and love them so barring a very nice porker i would stick with what i know

if it was a weekend track toy thig, id like some kind of caterham set up, if i felt a bit mental a hyabusa engined mini or something.

as you can tell ive not experience of 20-30k cars lol

let us know what you get and pics please - enjoy

As jef said- you need to give us a clue what you want. £25k and talking of a Golf suggests you want to buy new in which case the 996 Turbo suggestions are way off the mark.
Max age
Petrol / Diesel
2 door / 4 door
Soft top / hard top
etc, etc

FWIW, Porker needs to be manual rather than tip imho - just a boring way of driving a great car.

That said, can't go wrong with an RS4

Brand new Renault Megane 265 Trophy. 8min 8secs around the 'Ring which makes it a bit nippier than some of what's be been already suggested.

Probably running costs.

Same as some cars mentioned above. At fuel prices now, who can really justify running a Subaru (let alone a 460bhp T25) or a Focus RS, Megane 265, or even the new Astra VXR (with 276bhp) as an every day daily driver?

OK, the Type 25 is special enough to justify it as a `Weekend toy` only car, but a Focus RS? No, not really.

I think the new bead of `Warm` Hot hatches will find more buyers looking at reducing running costs but still keeping the handling to keep things entertaining. Cars like the new 208GTI, Clio Sport, & Fiesta ST.

I hope your right as I would love to get a focus rs at a reasonable price in 4 years time. Don't see it happening though as the rs collectors will keep prices up.

R205 Impreza or 2010/11 Spec C from Litchfields

Then spend the next £25k on that car

Something reasonably economical because even anyone wealthy enough to blow 25k on a car must surely have to think of the fuel costs unless there doing sub 3000 a year,
