Removing the Electric Head Rests

Hi,

Anyone know how to remove the front seat electric head resets on a 2005 BMW 5 series?

Pull hard, fixed in with ball joits on the bottom. iirc

getting mixed answers, some say pull hard, others remove the rear cover of the seat then remove it..
