Default Headlight Warning buzzer not working on Astra G

The handy little alarm warning when you leave the headlights on and remove the key from the ignition stopped working this week. Anyone got any ideas what I can check?

Thought it maybe a fuse but in the manual it says "headlight warning device" is fuse 32 but there is nowhere to fit a fuse in slot 32. The slot is there but no metal contacts to allow you to connect a fuse.

Cheers
Simon

does the 'left your keys in the ignition' buzzer work?

does the interior light come on when you open the door?

It's probably the door switch, as Big Col is alluding to. Take it off and clean all the contacts, especially where it screws to the body

Cheers guys. Looks like your right with the door switch. Took it off and cleaned contacts but seems its knackered as courtesy light also doesnt come on when driver door opened. Tried swapping from passenger side but part is diff number and has 1 contact rather than 2. So looks like I need to order a new one.

Thanks
Simon
