Lovely car and no doubt very quick!
But, I will never ever be convinced by anything fwd with that kind of power will ever be totally usable. 4.9 to 60 is impressive though with fwd. 4wd is the best for power - no doubt! (ok, I know rwd can handle that power better, but still not as good as 4wd)

Can't see it as any more of a Scoob rival than the other tweaked FWD hot hatches TBH, good though some of them are. And the price for the full monty will be scary
On the other hand, new Audi TT-RS (and maybe a new A3 version) has a 2.5l turbo with 340bhp and 4WD as standard. So maybe 420bhp with just a cheap chip.
If you want big power on a budget, Scoob is very hard to beat.

Does look nice and I am sure it will be a fast car, VW always pull it out of the bag when it comes to hothatch world.
Maybe they will equip it with the R32 running gear, That would a VERY good car if they did.
I would guess you will be looking around £30k ish, it will no doubt be trialed along side the 330s that being around £31k.
For me it will be scoobs unless someone makes something really special, but I will look forward to the reviews when/if its made.

Would have to have the R32 running gear, however, I'm still not sure on 'rocco.
I test drove one and found that the visibility was sh@t. The A pillars give the impression of you being cocooned in the car. Quite claustrophobic-feeling if I'm honest.
I like the front, but rear quarter is awful. And the "boot" (I use the term VERY loosely) is just a token space
All IMHO, of course
No doubt it will sell - STI beater, looks... dumb question. Performance...tough one - depends on how heavy the 'rocco is.
Gone are the days when the looks didn't matter (bug, blob, etc) - a good drive isn't enough these days.
