The 10 is a step backwards mechanically (engine etc) but still a capable car, it loses out in all the tests you see in japan v the latest subaru though....
Agree, but I live in Europe and that's another story. I enyojed my Subaru and hope I will be back with another model but this one (curent) is no no for me.

Sadly i have to agree with you, as much as i love subaru i would choose the new Evo over the latest impreza
The 4B11 is lighter, lower CoG, has exhaust VVT, larger turbine housing, stronger conrods, much nearer to square bore:stroke, and arguably better cylinder head design even if some of the ports are smaller. The compressor size is smaller, and there is less room at the back of the engine for a large turbo, plus at very high power the block will probably be less strong.
Whilst I like the 4G63 and have got 500 BHP out of a stock bottom end, the stock rods are a concern. The 4B11 would be a good base for 500 BHP on a stock engine IMHO, so just a turbo kit, intercooler upgrade, injectors/pump, exhaust. Although the car is too heavy, the stronger stock engine where the rods were the limit on the 4G63 will be nice, I might be tempted if there was a strong gearbox with a sensible top gear that wouldn't be buzzy.
My first reason is a look of new impreza, and after all, must try the other side. At the end of the day car specs are similar. And there is a tuneability of cars or "more for less".
Yes!! What a small world..... he has a mate called Petar who has the greatest GTV I have seen and I tried to get him to sell it to me but did not happen......
