Thats a seriously tidy car! Mine really needs sorting out cosmetically as my mate that owned it before me let it slip. He kept up with the service schedule though, and with only 58000 on the clock I knew it was a great car because I saw the way it had been looked after previous to him buying it. Got it a good bit cheaper due to bodywork as well!

Ayr is fantastic...love taking drives down in the summer.

Do u use andrew for servicing etc then?? Only way I know him is he is friendly with my old boss and built a few cars for him.

Ive spoke to him a few times but havent used him for any cars before. His workshop is only 7miles from wher i stay so i guess it would be handy and he certainly knows his stuff! Was the car Andrew built for your old boss the white Escort Cosworth?

Cheers for the comment on the car, i tried to keep it looking as standard as possible with only a few cosmetic touches. Went travelling for a year and had to sell it, otherwise id probably have kept it and did some engine work.

Keep a hold of yours and get it tidied up, theres not many unabused ones left anymore

Yeah, it was the white escort cosworth rally car, photos of it used to be on his website...not sure if they are now though.

No probs, I wish mine looked standard, but as you say its in almost perfect condition at the moment without taking bodywork into account. Looks good though...P1 front bumper and wheels, so nothing drastic done to appearance.

I would defo think about getting a type R next. The 2 door is something different, and quite a machine as well! Although saying that a type RA would be a fun trackcar project.

Thought I'd give this thread a bump.
The focus was finished last night and qualified 4 seconds clear at Knockhill today. Dropped out of first race with a mechanical problem which was remedied and had to start from the back of the grid for the second one but finished 1st, breaking the lap record in the process!

Respect!

I know, unreal really when you think about it. And this is in a car with a chassis he designed himself . Very very clever guy

The best race car built in the UK to date IMO. This makes the fearsome RCM Gobstopper look a bit naff!!!

And thats saying something
