Which headlight bulbs for Lexus IS200?
#2
Hi
I also have an IS200, but the bulbs are not standard
If you take one out you will find that it is a special unit where the bulb does not come seperate from the socket. As far I know you can only purchase them from an authorised Lexus Dealer
Happy New Year

I just checked at a nearby Autobacs (I`m currently in Japan) a PIAA bulb catalogue and it says for the Toyota Altezza HB3 bulbs are needed. Is the Lexus IS200 that different from an Altezza AS200 or RS200?

Fantastc....other IS2000 owners!!!!
Is it me or is the IS200 the very worst snow car ever designed. Exceptionally heavy front end and very light over the old drive wheels. I have driven many front engine rear drive cars before but nothing has ever been this bad.
The traction control is absolutely dire. It works by applying the brake to the spinning wheel so you try and pull away in 2nd or 3rd at low revs, crap rear traction spins wheels, brake applied, not sufficient revs....stall and repeat ad infinitum.

Try www.powerbulbs.com
I have just purchased some Zenon bulbs for my IS200 which cost about 50 quid for all four bulbs
Search under Lexus then look under GS300 93>98 which are the same bulbs. They also do the blue/white and all weather bulbs

Yup, they're crap in the snow, apparently the trick is traction control off, snow button on, but I haven't tried it yet.
There's a new website for UK based Lexus owners just started (not as big as this place, but building)
www.teamlexus.co.uk
