I realise the simplest solution would be to buy a car with air con, but my Dad has expressed more than a passing interest in getting air con for his 2003 Clio. Surely a kit from another Clio wouldn't be that hard to fit? LOL not personally, though.
Can it be done?
Is there anywhere that does it?

Why not to a Clio? He's keeping it long term (like five years +) so what's the problem?
Or is it more down to cost versus future value?
What would be a typical cost for a second hand system fitted? £600?? Just picked that figure off the top of my head cos I really haven't got a clue!!

I know a place that can retro fit cruise!! But he's not interested in that. Probably my next mod, actually
I really don't think it would be worth the hassle on such a car.
There's quite a bit of mechanical fitting to do, compressor, new drive belt to include compressor, pipes, heater matrix-dash out. Then all the electrics, wiring to the compressor and switch etc, different controls. Plus aircon usually connects to the managment so whether a non aircon ECU would accept aircon, I don't know.
It would be sooo much easier to buy a car with it already on, there must be loads about...if it was summat special, a bit rare or summat then yeah go for it, but on (without being rude) a low value, high volume car, it's not worth it.
