Default Now I have parted with the scoob - what next?

I finally parted with my uk turbo car and need a new one. Ideally it would be hatchback or of similar size to the scoob with 5 doors and reasonable running costs.

I have been looking at the GT TDI golfs but they are a bit pricey.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Any one have any opinions on the megane DCi's - the 120bhp ones? Do they have any reliability issues etc.

Cheers
