Saab 9-3 suspension clonk
I was going to ask this on Saabscene but I have forgotten my password, I have a Y reg Saab 9-3 with 80k miles on it and I am getting a clong when cornering from the front end, jacked it up and whipped a wheel off and it all looks in order, I thought it is more than likely an Anti Roll bar bush but the seem ok, ditto wishbone bushes, a little soft maybe but then its a roly poly Saab.
It only happens when going round roundabouts, when the weight shifts from one side to another.
I was thinking that seeing as the front suspension is Cavalier based then somebody on here would have had a clonking Cavalier ?

Check wishbones & ball joints (try gripping wheel at quarter to 3 and wobble to see if there's any play. Then try the same but at 6 o clock).
Bounce the wings to check for shock absorbers. Does it bounce straight back up or keep goin up and down a few times? Could also be top mounts.
Check the supension linkages as well as the anti roll bar.
Oh, and it's not Cavalier underneath afaik, it's vectra. However, I'm not sure this includes the supension, that could be all saab.

Cheers Dracoro, cant find any play, hadnt thought of top mounts, Shocks seem ok, I think its based on the Cavalier but much modified, like the Cavalier had pressed steel wishbones (which rust) with cast aluminium ones.
