I am sure it has the same engine as the 350z IIRC.

I own a new shape Navara which has the same chasis and 2.5 TDI engine as the Pathfinder and same dash/interior setup.

Must say its the best vehicle I've ever owned and don't miss my 05 WRX one bit.

Service intervals are 18k and I get 34mpg with a heavy right foot, regardless of town or motorway use.

The engine is superb, with tons of low down torque and is more than quick enough for me........... great fun on the really steep hills overtaking everyone on the crawler lanes. Engine is very refined and its extremely quite in the cabin at all speeds and works very well with the 6 speed box.
The dash and general quality of interior finish is light years ahead of the old Nissans and very well thought out.

The off road abilities are very good even with road tyres. You change from 2 Hi to 4 Hi/Low via a dial not a 2nd gear stick. I've had mine buried up to the side steps in sand, I just stuck in low range and pulled myself out. I use mine alot on beaches and tow inn excess of 2 ton on without a problem.

The Pathfinder rear seating arrangement looked quite clever when we had a nose in the showroom. If we get to apoint when we do'nt need a Pickup and need more seats, I'll definatley get a Pathfinder. We looked at the new Discovery at the same time as the Navara and Pathfinder, but was really disapointed at what we saw.

Thanks for the comments guys, most interesting, i was rather impressed also, motorpoint have them brand new in se spec for between 21-23k, considering the kit you get there makes little sense in going for a disco as they are so much more pricey and have a tendancy if like the old model to be in the garage more often than not.

cheers
