To be fair the broker price for this car (and a 3) is less than you are selling for.

Not the RS residuals anticipated then.

Is it in Autotrader ?, I think I may have spotted it whilst looking for new discounted ones, pity as I cant afford it yet otherwise I would be having a look. Perhaps its also because you can get a new one from anonline discounters a bit cheaper, then again it depends on whether you want to buy one there and then or wait till March and it probably still not turn up.

Why the timewasters and idiots, well if it is in the Trader, thats the trader for you, I have wasted so many evenings waiting for no show ignorant f*ckers.

Good luck with the sale

Thanks very much. Ive been quoted June Delivery by some dealers and know of one person that ordered from a broker back in Nov and the price has just gone up £1500 and the attitude is take it or leave it.

Still need to test one of these

My local Ford garage has loads of the orange ones in their car park/compound area, not sure if they are pre-orders or not.

Are all the others 2nd hand like Wish's?

Cars are worth what people will pay for them. Wish's car will have a value, what that is I don't know but if he's getting no interest then the current price is too high.

I have heard the same regarding delivery though.

I did think a while ago about buying a euro import for sub-£16k (IIRC) and selling it for a profit to someone who couldn't be bothered to wait the 6-month delivery time.

But then I wondered what would happen if I couldn't sell it on....

It's the old adage - someone who can afford to pay to jump the queue will buy it and quickly I would imagine.

I had this scenario with a telly, Empire direct were the cheapest but buggered around for weeks, got p1ssed off and went and got the same thing from Currys as they actually had one even though it was dearer, so even if one of the online retailers quotes 10 grand for a new ST it isnt worth a toss until its on your path. You can wait all you want but we only live so long !

I suppose that if Ford are flogging them quickly through the dealer network they arent going to be that bothered about selling them to companies that will undercut their own dealers.

Will have to stop looking at this thread cos its lovely and I have no money and even when some arrives I am fairly certain the missus will put the mockers on it.
