aa man said sensor would cost around £20, rover specialist has said it would be around £70 just for the sensor, does this price seem correct, just for a sensor, also how long roughly to change it?

just dropped it off at the garage so I'll wait and see what they say,

Crank shaft sensor went on my Renault 19, and cost £20 to replace.

Labour to change it? At a guess, about half an hour if that assuming that the sensor is accessible without removing half the components of the engine bay...

 

just spoke to garage, they cant get a fault code on it, they are trying a new distributer or something , I aint got a clue really, just hope they dont rip me off too much
