One for the misses
Have asked this question elsewhere but still not 100% what I want to do.
Have been offered an ex-company car (the company I work for) and am thinking about buying it for the misses. The car has had two female drivers the last one only for about 3 months and has been used as a reps car.
It's a 2003/03 Vauxhall Astra 1.8i 16v Edition 100 Convertable, full leather, electric roof, air con and all the other bits and peices you find on a limited edition. Is tidy inside, although not really my kind of thing, and the body work looks ok but has the obligatory little scratch here and there (one of the wing mirrors looks like it's been scrapped down a wall) that you expect from a rep/woman driver.
All sounding ok, but the downer is the mileage approaching 85,000, but don't think it has been 'hammered' knowing the two women tha drove it with the top down no matter what the temperature.
Been offered it for 6k, worth it, or should I steer well clear?
And what should I look out for as far as the engine is concerned and realistically what's it got left in it?
The misses only does about 5/6k a year in her current car.
Any advice appreciated.

Have told them that if I am having it I want them to do the cam belt and have a mechanic look at it to make sure nothing is that bad on it.
