Thumbs up

If i was to go the evo route i know what i'd get.

It has FQ in the name. (FQ apparently standing for Fu**ing Quick)

Although give the makinnen version its dues, both very capable cars. The more modern one gets the nod from me. They've supposedly had better and better handling and drive over the previous versions...

My scooby's keeping the smile on my face at the moment tho'

£22k is far too much for a Tommi, the last of the Tommi's were on 51 plates but I have seen a RS2 (evo 6) on a 52 plate.

Shop around..but finding a good one will be hard work.

Lucky enough to had both.

The Tommi is a great looking car but can't compare with the handling and power of the 330 - especially if you can afford the de-cat and the ralliart ecu upgrade.

Our 330 with both the above is dyno'd at close on 370bhp with over 330N/m torque and is great fun to drive in all conditions.

Last scooby was a P1 which was absolutely brill but without expensive upgrades could'nt be taken over 320bhp - still miss the engine noise tho.

Happy hunting,

Lubo

Get the FQ, you'll not tell the difference on our roads. They'll both eat ground like there's no tomorrow.

2nd-hand ones are still damn expensive otherwise I'd have onein a heartbeat

Oh, oh - dipped my toe into the 'Darkside' today!!

Looked at a EVO IX FQ-320 in a Mitsubishi Dealers then went along to an importers garage where there were numerous EVO IV's; V's; VI's (incl 2 x TME) and VII's.

Decisions, decisions - I've always liked the EVO VI & IMO the VII and VIII went a bit '*****' looking. The EVO IX seems to have recovered some of the meaner VI look.

Question is 'would I be happy going to an EVO after 5 Imprezas?'

and would any sane person even consider going from an MY04 STI UK to an EVO VI GSR or VI TME? Maybe the mid life crisis is just getting worse!!

Any thoughts guys?

Den
