Red face Lotus Exige 240R

was at Lotus yesterday for a meeting and I got the chance to drive the new 240R around the test track.
OMG!! i thought the scoob was quick and handled well! this thing is almost frightening, fantastic fun. but only 50 to be built and all sold

its a 190bhp 1.8L 4 cylinder toyota engine supercharged by lotus giving 247bhp with a power to weight ratio of 261 bhp per ton.

I cannot imagine using it day to day though, its noisy, hot, bloody hard to get in and out of! but it is a seriously fun toy, if only i were rich lol

That Sports Exige is on another planet, they created something that looks so beautifully insane, it is so awesome when something like that comes out of the UK. *sniff*

The 240R is certainly a nice car, but how much !!!! £45K new.. I'll have paid half of that and get a 380bhp/tonne Exige rather than 270

There's something funky going on with the rear lid on the 240R too, stands proud a quarter of an inch.

Still, if you gotta have an S2 shape Elise Coupe, erm, I mean Exige.. then that's the one to go for !
