Default Saab 9-3 Tuning / 'chipping' etc

Guys,

Whilst I have kept the STi4 2.5 I've parted company with the MY03 wagon, which was on contract hire.

I've just done a stunning 18 month deal on a 9-3 Aero convertible as I fancied a change and couldn't get an S2000 at a sensible contract hire rate (and the wife told me not to be so bloody stupid- we have three kids )

Now I would never even contemplate modifying a contract hire car. In any way. Never, ever, ever

So what's the best route for 'chipping'- superchips, plug in box type thingy, or are there other options. Don't want to spend too much as I only have it for 18 months.

Anyone got any experience with them? Zippy?

Thanks guys,
Simon.

Maptun and Elkparts also, depends on the engine but I have the old 150 bhp turbo and you get an honest 75 bhp from just a chip, just need 500 quid spare to do it. The Saab isnt the ultimate drivers car but they are very enjoyable and you dont look a tosser like in the BMW 3 seres convertable, plus nobody thinks you own a nail bar.

My GM 900 was modified by Abbott.
Get a Viggen Rescue Kit, adjustable suspension [set to 3 all round for everyday driving] and a Stage 1 chip and your laughing.
Hirsch are now being sold by Saab dealers and come very highly rated [though the price is higher].
Maptun seemed to be THE chip to go for when I was playing.

Have fun
