Question Mercedes E280 1994

Anyone know anything about an E280 carat duchalet(?),car is 2.8 straight six auto????

That sounds like a W124 model, made from the early 80's until 1996. The E280 is a 2.8 straight six (M104) engine, can be manual or auto depending on what was chosen from production, most were auto. Carat du chatelet are a maker of body styling products who kitted some of these and other models around that time. The car is a bomb proof model over engineered in many ways so good for very high mileage (250k is not uncommon), one slight downside if you're bothered they were a bit **** on fuel economy.

Thanks Robbie thats a great help,would you know the BHP/torque figures for this car and also where one could obtain a hand book?.

You're lookin at about 193bhp, not sure of a torque figure prob best to google it. You can a get a handbook for this car from your local merc dealer, it is'nt model specific it covers from the E200 up to the E500 post '93 the part number is Z6515101002 should be about a tenner
