Mazda MPS series looks promissing
Searching about for some details on the Mazda6 MPS and found this;

Mazda3 to use same 250bhp engine, doesn't say if it will be AWD; but if it is would it temp anyone thinking of a new scooby? I'm seriously temped by the 6 and the 3 looks pretty good. Apart from the sticky-back plastic bonnet vent; I've seen better efforts on ford escorts!
