I had a mk1 RS, but it was when the XR3/XR3i were just out and you could pick the MK1's up for noting money really. I was too young and just hammered it too death, Lord i wish i still had it now. The T/C escorts always pulled good money though.

It's the the BDA engine that makes it worth so much

No clackety old pinto in that'n matey

only 900 Rs1600s were made IIRC

Excluding the Twin Cams that came back for BDA engine upgrades.

Have to admit its a nice car.

Ive still got a copy of that 'How to modify tour escort for Rallying book', with all the diemsions for the gusset plate and such.

There were so many on the road, it makes you wonder where all the parts went?
