Question Anyone owned ........

A BMW E36 M3 Evolution?.

Considering what I might get early next year, these have taken my fancy for quite a while and I fancy a change to rear wheel drive for a bit.

Anyone owned one?. Just wondered how performance compared to a classic Subaru WRX. Certainly look quick on paper. How does the handling compare, obviously in the wet they wont be as good.

Also tempted with getting a convertible, is there a big performance/handling difference between the two?

Thanks
Dave

Haven't owned one myself but have driven my mates old one and been it several times. Power delivery isn't as brutal as the Scoob as the torque curve is flatter.

Do not get one with the SMG gearbox - they are sh1te!

Good luck!

Best ask on here mate.....lots more M3 owners. Either way you'll get M3 owners saying they are faster/better etc and Scooby owners saying the same.....Im sure theres been plenty of threads in the past with varied opinion

thought they might be smooth, dont know what to do as i love the scoob but feel like a change.
Just worried that i will miss the handling, noise and accelearation too much. Spose i could just go nuts and do loads more to the scoob
